Below is a list of our recommended locations by season for dispersed camping and campgrounds for your camping trip with AZ Places. They are accessible by a standard vehicle and are within 1 to 3 hours surrounding Phoenix, Arizona.
After reserving a trip with us you will have access to your AZ Places account. There you will select your camping location, menu and any other add-ons. You will also submit required documentation for each party of your group.
Note: Some locations have a entrance or use fee. Locations beyond 150 miles require an additional travel fee by AZ Places.

During winter in southern Arizona you may experience temperatures from 19°F in early morning to 80°F at the end of the day, probably not on the same day. However, 32° in the morning and 70° in the late afternoon is not unheard of. From late December through February you may experience rain and on occasion you a good windy storm.

Apache Lake - Burnt Corral Campground
Burnt Corral Campground includes 76 camp units, vault toilets, potable water hydrants, 6 day-use picnic units, paved boat launch, boat boarding dock; Each campsite includes a parking spur, fire ring with grill, a shade ramada, and a picnic table. This campground provides access to visitors who are mobility impaired.
