French Press Brewing:
Bring water to a full boil, then let sit 30 seconds (~200°F).
Add 6–8 tbsp coffee to the French press.
Pour hot water to just below the top.
Stir gently with a long-handled spoon.
Place lid on and steep for 3-4 minutes.
Press the plunger down slowly.
Pour and enjoy immediately.
Cowboy Coffee Brewing:
In a kettle or pot, bring water to a rolling boil.
Add coffee. Stir briefly.
Keep on low heat for 4 minutes to steep (do not boil).
Remove from heat and let sit for several minutes to allow grounds to settle.
Pour 1 cup cold water on top and through spot to help grounds sink.
Pour slowly to avoid stirring up grounds.
Brewing Notes & Tips:
Use coarse-ground coffee for best results.
1 oz coffee ≈ 2 tbsp (may vary by roast/grind).
Adjust to taste—start with a 1:15 ratio.
Use filtered water for best flavor.
If too strong, dilute with a bit of hot water when serving.
Cleaning Instructions:
Discard used grounds (compost if possible).
Rinse press or kettle with warm water.
Wash with mild soap.
Pat dry or air dry completely before storing.
