This experience is designed for fathers and sons to unplug, learn together, and enjoy time outdoors in a supportive, fully guided setting. Whether it’s your first camping trip together or a chance to build on past experiences, this trip focuses on shared learning, teamwork, and meaningful time in nature—without the stress of planning or logistics. Suggested for boys ages 8–16.

Designed for both first-time campers and those returning to the outdoors, this trip includes hands-on learning in:

• Setting up and caring for camp

• Outdoor cooking basics

• Safe campfire practices (weather permitting)

• Observing wildlife and respecting the forest

The schedule allows time for exploration, rest, and relaxed evenings around the fire. Instruction is supportive and adaptable, ensuring both adults and youth feel confident, included, and comfortable throughout the experience.

Participants book as father-and-son pairs. Accommodations may include shared tents, helping keep the experience simple, practical, and focused on spending time together.

As with all AZ Places trips, all major camping gear, meals, and on-site guidance are provided, allowing participants to focus on the experience while we handle the setup, planning, and cleanup.
